The vaccines are giving us hope to start the Cafe again
After such a long time it will be very hard for many people to become social beings again and the thought of mixing with others in the community will for some be a cause of anxiety. We at the Pop In Place understand these feelings. After a large percentage of the community have been vaccinated we should all be in a much better position to stay healthy and we will be there to support you all in your return to the cafes.
We will be opening in the upper village Hall we will be offering our new Rainbow Pop In cafes on Friday mornings from 10am until 12 noon.

The café will be rather different and much more spread out to allow for social distancing, but we are working hard to make it as safe and as friendly as we possibly can.
If you are interested in helping out in any way please email me on popinplace@gmail.com
We look forward to seeing you all again in the late spring if you want transport just give Kim a call 01929 471170

Garden of Hope for Bere Regis
After such a difficult year, with loneliness negatively impacting so heavily on society everywhere, we believe that this project would help to combat the isolation and enhance feelings of better mental health and wellbeing in our community.
Most importantly bring hope for a brighter future for our residents.
The garden would need to work in conjunction with the existing wildlife group to create some very natural plantings and surroundings to help to create the ambience of calm peacefulness. Some benches or seating would complement this set up and encourage people to stay and chat together.
The Parish Council are supporting this and we are working together to locate a suitable area in the village for a Garden of Hope.

Pop In Performers Group
We are really missing all the children and everyone that attends Performers group.
We really hope that we will be able to start this much loved village group back up again in the late Spring 2021 to start working on a staged performance for Christmas, we will mix some of our amazing Grease numbers with some of the well loved Christmas songs..

Starting a Repair Shop Project

Unfortunately for number of reasons the shed premises that we were looking at for a community Shed has fallen through, but it is hoped that we can in the future start up a repair shop project in the lower village Hall.
Currently we are utilising this space as a Food Bank during the pandemic but when it is no longer in use, we will look into addressing the need of the people who were keen to start up a Community Shed.

Over the last few months of Covid-19  lots of people in our community have been helping out , trying to do their best to make a difficult time just a little less scary.
Here is a slide show of some of what has been happening.

The Pop In Place Performers are unable to entertain you live this year so we have put  together a few of our best bits, we hope that you enjoy seeing the children and that it will lift your spirits and fill you with renewed hope
