The Pop In Place will be holding another Family Disco on Saturday 10th October at 7.00pm until 10pm (no unaccompanied children please), we will also present our volunteering award for this year’s Young Volunteer of the Year at this event. Tickets are £2 and available from Alison or the Pop In Place. This is an opportunity to all get together and enjoy the Primo party Disco while raising money for the refugee crisis. The Pop In Place will take on the expenses for this event and all the ticket money will go to the Red Cross.
REMEMBER TO KEEP KNITTING…
or donate us some double knit wool. We are gathering together a lot of blankets again and as the current refugee crisis is in great need of such items Alison has taken two large bags of your knitted blankets to a Church in Blandford that is organising an aid trip. So now we need to keep knitting for Alan’s aid trip in January 2016 anyone who is not able to knit for us can donate double knit wool this would help greatly the people who are constantly buying their own wool to make the blankets. Thank you all for all you are doing it is fantastic. Thanks to Liz Gale and to Joan who also did some sewing squares together recently.

Thank you to everyone who supported our Macmillan coffee morning today we raised £219.13p in just over an hour and a half. Well done to Christina Hardiman who was Awarded the Pop In Place Volunteer of the Year and Colin and Gwen Vowles who were Awarded the Outstanding Commitment Awards. Thank you to our MP Michael Tomlinson for presenting the awards and for the excellent speech about the important role of Volunteers in our communities.
Macmillan coffee morning… Tonight we presented the most Improved Performer Award, after a talk to express that everyone's contribution is greatly valued especially when all the shows raise much needed funds for worthy causes. The 2015 Most Improved Performer Award went to Aimee Rowe who has been with the group for some time, its been very rewarding to witness her blossom and see her confidence and ability improve a great deal in this time. Well done Aimee and well done, to all our Young Performers.
