This week is Dementia Awareness week and its a good time to tell you about Dementia Friendly communities, this is when a whole village or town become more dementia aware, for us to become one in Bere Regis it would need individuals and a representative from the Village Businesses Shops Pubs Clubs Doctors, Church, Chapel, School, Play Group, Dentist etc and organisations, to complete a Dementia Friends Session. We are holding a session on Friday the 10th of July at 10.30 at the Village Hall it last about 1 hour and will enable you as a person or as a village company or business to be more understanding of people living with dementia, you also get rather a nice badge too, to show that you have become a dementia friend. So please consider the wonderful positive impact that you could have on others if you took just one hour of your time and became a dementia friend. I am one,and I really hope that many of you will be after 10th of July.
