Pamela Hoare Award 2017

11th October 2017 Last   night   I   presented   the   Pamela   Hoare   Award   for   most   improved   performer,   I   always   really   consider   very   carefully   who   will   be   given   this   Award. This   year   it   was   presented   to   a   young   boy   who   has   been   part   of   the   group   since   he   was   about   5   years   old, during   this   time   he   has   undergone   various surgical   procedures   on   his   lip   and   face,   he   has   been   through   a   lot   but   he   has   always   enjoyed   coming   along   to   the   group   and   has   always   tried   so hard   over   the   years   with   his   speech   and   singing.   In   the   summer   we   staged   Way   Out   West   and   he   really   excelled   in   his   role   as   Dusty   Slim.   There   is   a great   lesson   here   for   us   all   we   just   need   to   keep   going   and   sometimes   against   all   the   odds   you   can   still   become   really   great   at   things   if   you   want   to be. Congratulations to Jordan Hughes the 2017 winner well done I’m really proud of you!
October 14th 2017 Congratulations   to   all   our   winners   at   the   Pop   In   Place   tonight   Millie   Brown,   Rod   Osmond,   Lyn   simmonds,   Maria   Critchell, Elizabeth Gale, Colin Vowles, Gwen Volwes and thanks to Rapport for excellent entertainment.
